We are pleased to report that the 2023 Rákóczi Gala, held last Friday, September 22nd at the Old Mill Restaurant in Toronto was a sold-out success! Thanks to everyone who supported the event through your participation and by organizing tables with friends and family. Through your support, there were second and third generation supporters of the work of the Foundation at the event, something in which we can all take great pride in.
Our distinguished guests, Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy and Ambassador Dr. Maria Vass-Salazar were honoured for their work, both spoke glowingly about the work of the Foundation. It was a special event, a fitting tribute to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Rákóczi Foundation and the 30thanniversary of the establishment of the Students Without Boundaries program.
Heartfelt thanks is extended to all of our donors, because of your generosity the Foundation will continue helping students through a hot lunch program in war-torn Ukraine, through widening the horizons of young people through the Students Without Boundaries program, and supporting education through 50 scholarships (this year alone)! We could not continue this work without your help. Thank you on behalf of all those who benefit from your generosity.
